Former Lansing councilman convicted in embezzlement case


MASON, Mich (WLNS) – A former Lansing Metropolis Council president has been convicted of embezzling cash from a group middle board.

Harold Leeman Jr, 60, was discovered responsible by a Ingham County Circuit Courtroom jury Thursday.

Testimony in the course of the trial revealed the cash included purchases have been made on a bank card that the Gier Park Group Middle Board gave Leeman in order that he might purchase fuel.
