Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop will hold his annual State of the City address on Thursday, Feb. 22, followed by a series of town hall-type community meetings in each ward, the city announced.
Unlike last year when the mayor held a State of the City address in each ward, the SOTC will be a one-time event this year — at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Officials said this years’s address will focus on the future of Jersey City, new projects and programs that residents can expect to see during the upcoming year.
The first State of the City community meeting will be held in Ward F, at the Mary McLeod Bethune Life Center (140 Martin Luther King Dr.) at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 27. Fulop and the department directors will attend the meetings to discuss upcoming projects, answer questions and work together to solve local issues.
Dates for the community meetings in Wards A, B, C, D and E have not been set.
