ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – A mom has pleaded not responsible to homicide within the second diploma in connection with the drowning demise of her 10-day-previous son.
Officers arrived on scene at 31 Locust St. round 2:30 p.m. Monday for the report of an unresponsive child. The infant, Jeremiah, was instantly transported to Rochester Common Hospital the place he was pronounced lifeless.
Markiya Mitchell, 25, admitted to investigators that she deliberately drowned her son within the bathtub with the aim of ending his life.
In response to the felony grievance, Mitchell crammed the bathtub with eight to 10 inches of tub water and left him submerged for 1 to 2 hours.
