A small portion of Route 1&9 in Jersey City will be closed Thursday morning for roughly an hour as part of the investigation into the crash that left two people dead Sunday morning.
The two northbound lanes will be shut between 5 a.m. and 5:45 a.m., the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday night.
Mario Guevara, 25, and Heather Acosta, 24, who were in the back seat of a 2006 Toyota Corolla, died in a two-car crash on the highway between Manhattan Avenue and North Street at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, authorities have said.
Four others suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. No one has been charged in the deaths of the two Union City residents.
