Teen Accused of Beating Stepfather With Golf Club After Fight Over Video Games

DESTIN, Fla. (WKRG) — A struggle over video video games ended with a Florida teenager hitting his stepfather with a golf membership and ultimately making an attempt to stab him with it, in response to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Workplace.

The alleged assault occurred Monday night time at a house on Sand Myrtle Path in Destin.

The sheriff’s workplace says sixteen-yr-previous Nathan Cole Robertson received into an argument together with his mom as a result of she requested him to cease enjoying a recreation. An arrest report states the teenager was enjoying a multi-participant recreation and informed his mom he couldn’t pause it.

When the mom, recognized as Charlette Ashley Schindler, threatened to smash the online game console with a golf membership, Robertson grabbed the membership and pushed her with it, in response to the report.

The report goes on to say, when Robertson’s stepfather stepped in, Robertson hit him with the membership a number of occasions. Then, when the golf membership broke, Robertson tried to stab the stepfather with it, based on the report.

The sheriff’s workplace says the stepfather, recognized as Charles Joseph Schindler II, drove himself to hunt medical remedy.

Robertson was taken to a Division of Juvenile Justice facility and charged with felony aggravated battery for the assault on the stepfather and misdemeanor battery for pushing his mom, each home violence-associated offenses, based on the sheriff’s workplace.
