Worker dies after falling from gravel barge in south Seattle


SEATTLE — The Seattle Police Division says a person is lifeless after falling from a gravel barge into the Duwamish Waterway.

Detective Mark Jamieson, a division spokesman, says the 37-yr-previous was engaged on the barge, which was making an attempt to tie up at a concrete plant at about four:forty a.m. Thursday when a line broke and struck him.

The Seattle Hearth Division says the person was been pulled from the water, however died on the scene.

Jamieson says police anticipate the Coast Guard and the federal Occupational Security and Well being Administration to research.
